Kelsey Fox, MS, LMFT
Kelsey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and began practicing as a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee in 2012.
Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University San Bernardino located in San Bernardino, California. Soon after graduating, she pursued a long awaited dream of earning her Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University in Riverside, California.
She began working with Easter Seals as a Mental Health and Disabilities Specialist working extensively with children, their families and couples to provide counseling services.
Kelsey married just before finishing her Master’s, she moved to Fairbanks, Alaska and began teaching Psychology for the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Shortly after Kelsey and her husband started a family. Over the past few years Kelsey has enjoyed watching her children grow and loves the opportunity to spend time together as a family often as possible fishing, camping and traveling.
She is also a current member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. And had the privilege to work as a therapist in Anchorage, Alaska under the supervision of Karen Cunningham, LMFT and Mercy Dennis, LMFT. Kelsey had interest in expanding her knowledge of the profession and received training in Dr. John Gottman’s work—The Gottman Method, Terry Real’s work—Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and in Francine Shapiro’s life work of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing or more commonly known as EMDR. She primarily works with couples and individuals.
Kelsey believes life tends to bring its challenges and she can help foster change and aid in support while clients process through their various struggles. She has had many clients see growth within themselves which allows for a new found strength to be seen and exude confidence they have needed to heal.
